How Love and Care for People care about people

Thursday, July 7, 2022

On 7th July 2022 in Mallow, some of the members of the Love and Care for People team, Giovanni, Gulbahar, and Giorgia, encountered the youth club, composed of children of migrant origin with fewer opportunities aged five and older, and their parents. The reason for this meeting was to support and accompany them by a luxury coach of Kearney’s company to Little Rascals Funworld, a large play centre which is situated in Mallow, to make them experience joy and laughter. That day the sun was shining when the Love and Care for People team arrived at the meeting point to lead the group composed of nearly seventeen children and ten parents of mixed nationalities and to expect the coach to arrive. The children were energetic and getting impatient about the idea of heading to Little Rascals Funworld to have fun. When the coach arrived, the children with the parents one by one were flowing into the coach to get ready to leave. On board, while the children were making noises and playing together, the coach started. The destination was not far away from Mallow (the journey took about 5 minutes.) As soon as the coach arrived everyone came into the building where the children began to rush to the huge play area. The kids were as astonished by the play area as the children saw Santa Claus coming. It was impressive to see their radiant faces staring at those colourful games. Children moved everywhere. Laughter and joy were tangible. On the way back, before the coach started, children had been given a gift from Little Rascals Funworld by the volunteers from Love and Care for People. All of this happened thanks to those people who work for Love and Care for People, especially Ado and Ini who care and are committed to making people happy, especially those with fewer opportunities.
